HISTORIC GRAND PRIX POSTERS
ILLUSTRATION & DESIGN
This series of original digital illustrations was inspired by my passions — Formula 1 racing and the Art Deco era advertisement and travel posters of the 1920s – 40s.Each poster featured the winning car and driver from three historic grand prix.
The illustrations are derived from pencil sketches to establish composition, proportion, and perspective. Then, I rendered and fine-tuned each in Adobe Illustrator. Stylistically, I used broad areas of color, contrast, and reduced details – similar characteristics to work of that era, but with a "digital" take on this classic art movement.
